MMT filed the second cast & cure process patent in 2001 to enforce the original process patent by adding the part of casting & curing onto the printed substrate in registration. This patent was approved in 2004 but then chanllenged by a state own tobacco compny. At the end, MMT is able to keep this patent and reached a settlement with the Tobacco company after two trials in Beijing Court against the Tobacco company and the Patent review board in 2007.
